It doesn’t let you quit.

I am 64 and am venturing into something that I think is ‘child’s play, i.e. playing ‘writing writing’ on the internet, working from home, and earning money.

Every older generation is cynical of the younger generation, branding them as novices and with tons of vices. But then you have to follow them to remain ‘relevant’.

So, I started researching for ‘something’ that I have been doing all these years, viz. writing. To my great delight and surprise, there lies a lot of scopes, as per millions of educational videos about picking ‘writing as a career’, largely by youngsters, revealing the secrets of earning through ‘writing’. And I took a plunge into it.

I have been watching videos to learn the tricks of the trade, but yet to get a foothold. One of the videos mentioned MEDIUM as one of the best platforms for writers and I soon became a member.

Now I spend a sizeable time reading materials on MEDIUM that show numerous ways for beginners like me how to trudge the path and I am learning slowly to leave my footprint behind every article that I write. Thanks, MEDIUM, I love you for not letting me quit!
