What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

Life should be meaningful, even if it is cut short. There are umpteen examples of great men and women whose lives were cut short, but they left behind an everlasting mark on the world in their respective, but varied fields.

Let’s look at some of these great people.

Swami Vivekananda (India): He died at the age of 39. He was a philosopher, spiritual leader. Swami Vivekananda played a key role in introducing Indian philosophies like Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world.

Anne Frank (Germany): Died at the tender age of 15, her diary, written during the Holocaust, became one of the most impactful accounts of the horrors of World War II.

Srinivasa Ramanujan (India): He died at the age of 32. Despite lacking formal training, a mathematical prodigy who contributed significantly to pure mathematics.

John Keats (United Kingdom): Keats died at the age of 25. A Romantic poet whose works like Ode to a Nightingale have left a lasting impact on English literature.

Che Guevara (Argentina): He died at the age of 39. A revolutionary leader who played a crucial role in the Cuban Revolution and became a symbol of resistance and socialism worldwide.

The endeavor should perhaps be to make someone’s life a little better, even if it means to make someone smile for a while.
