FEW WORDS, BUT BANG ON!

  • What if Bollywood (Hindi) movies didn’t have songs?

I would have been the worst hit ☹ I think they were/are the lifeline of the movies, and they were/are my lifeline too. Like those movies, I couldn’t do without humming those songs (mostly from the 1950s and 60s) every moment of my life. Since the release of the first Hindi film, Raja Harishchandra, in Read.

  • Expectation. Can we not get rid of this word?

    ,

Imagine the word ‘Expectation’ vanishes from your life. You have no expectation from anyone. Won’t you be happy? Won’t you be relaxed and cool about your life? One may argue that life without expectation will be boring and monotonous. True! That’s the flip side. But look at the pros. You have no expectation from your Read.

  • Continuing with my second innings.

My second innings began somewhere around 2015-16 when I decided to write down those stories that I used to ‘day dream’ about. From my childhood days I used to concoct stories in my mind, most when I was idling. I used to concoct different stories ranging from crime thrillers, romance, political rebel, solving mysteries, and Read.

  • A writer’s woes?

Struggle, struggle, and more struggle! The struggle is not related to my ability or inability to succeed in getting published, or make or not making money out of it, the struggle is to write! I am back after a hiatus of about two weeks. I got into the mess called ‘life’, again, and the intricacies Read.

  • Bhimisi, the tribal worrier

This story is written against the backdrop of the folklore about the Bhil tribes, a worrier group of western India. It was during the reign of King Vikramaditya, aka Chandragupta II (380-415 CE), who had his capital at Ujjaini, the modern-day Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, India.  “There he is!” He heard a scream as he Read.

  • Make people smile :)

    ,

That’s laughter therapy for me. Smile, if not laugh. And my laughter therapy is not only for me but for others as well. If I can make someone smile (if not laugh) for 5 minutes, I think I am inching towards the heaven (if there is any). I was born with this inherent quality and Read.

  • Life should be meaningful, even if it is short.

    ,

Life should be meaningful, even if it is cut short. There are umpteen examples of great men and women whose lives were cut short, but they left behind an everlasting mark on the world in their respective, but varied fields. Let’s look at some of these great people. Swami Vivekananda (India): He died at the Read.

  • I could do many things differently. I wish I could. Now I can.

    ,

All of us do things differently. I also used to do things differently. But, the only problem is that it made no difference in my life. Then I started taking some of the proverbs and quotes seriously. Those motivational quotes I used to laugh at. Now I take inspiration from a few (though). The quote Read.

  • Thinking about the past is necessary, thinking about the future is wishful thinking.

    ,

Past is factual. Future is imaginary. We retrospect from the past and learn from all that mistakes that we committed. They are your real-life examples. We just don’t do mistake; we also do right things as well. Hence, we can judge from what did right or wrong, and the consequences thereof. We can then gauge Read.

  • I play ‘life, life’ everyday.

    ,

Playing “life, life’ is a daily affair. There is no escape from it, and I love playing. Everyday, as I wake up, the ‘playtime’ tells me, ‘hey buddy, tighten your belt and get ready to play. It’s like any other game; you have a team, who-so-ever stays with you, you have a plan and a Read.
