My second innings began somewhere around 2015-16 when I decided to write down those stories that I used to ‘day dream’ about.
From my childhood days I used to concoct stories in my mind, most when I was idling. I used to concoct different stories ranging from crime thrillers, romance, political rebel, solving mysteries, and even performing in front of huge crowd with my ‘golden voice’. 🙂
My father though insisted me to pen down my experience of working with the tribes during my Ph.D. days, but something held on to me and never wrote a word. I used to narrate those outlandish stories to everyone, and umpteen times.
There was nothing new or exciting in research, which I have been into for 30+ years.
I thought writing was the only option that would let me continue with my passion in research and storytelling.
So I published my first novella in 2019, followed by a novel in 2021, and 3 short stories in 2022.
Then my wife fell ill and I went into hibernation. As she started progressing, I slowly have started making a comeback.
The comeback is as a Freelance Writer. I started following all advices around by scores of wise men and women or rather boys and girls (for me).
I broke the ice last month with an assignment on Upwork, after being there for a couple of months and changing my profile umpteen times.
The challenge now is to sustain and continue as a Freelance Writer for the rest of my life.
