I could do many things differently. I wish I could. Now I can.
All of us do things differently. I also used to do things differently. But, the only problem is that it made no difference in my life. Then I started taking some of the proverbs and quotes seriously. Those motivational quotes I used to laugh at. Now I take inspiration from a few (though). The quote Read.

Don’t hit the highway if you are high!
We were 4 friends traveling back after attending a marriage of a friend from a neighboring city. It was about 100 km (about 62 miles) away from the city we lived in. It was the wee hours of the morning and a cold winter. The marriage went on for long and we partied with the Read.

Thinking about the past is necessary, thinking about the future is wishful thinking.
Past is factual. Future is imaginary. We retrospect from the past and learn from all that mistakes that we committed. They are your real-life examples. We just don’t do mistake; we also do right things as well. Hence, we can judge from what did right or wrong, and the consequences thereof. We can then gauge Read.

The biggest challenge in my life is to maintain simplicity.
I love proverbs and phrases. They help you catch the nuances of life. One of such proverbs I have heard/read somewhere that I try to adhere to in my life. The proverb is: “It’s very simple to be happy, but it’s very difficult to be simple”. A simply worded phrase, but worth a million words. Read.

A song, a place, an incident, and a few faces takes you back the memory lane.
A generation that I was born in. We have seen the advent of technology and quickly getting obsolete in no time. Cassettes, to CDs, to Smartphones. Listening to music has seen a sea of change, but the songs that refuses to leave our lips remain unchanged. Each song has a memory, when we sing it, Read.

Everyone who walked into my life left a mark. A positive mark.
As you grow older, you get wiser. Goes the saying. I would say, ‘as you grow older, there are more people who walk into your life and make you wiser’. Likewise, I would say, everyone who had walked into my life have made me wiser. I will not get into the debate of if I’m Read.

How do you gauge what to expect from people?
Photo by Karsten Winegeart on Unsplash ‘Expectation’ is the demon housed in our souls. Imagine, how life would have been without expectations. The wife has no expectations from the husband and vis-à-vis, children have no expectations from the parents and vis-à-vis, and they all live happily, thereafter. Unfortunately, that’s not true. It’s a utopia. What if we Read.
