Bhimisi, the tribal worrier
This story is written against the backdrop of the folklore about the Bhil tribes, a worrier group of western India. It was during the reign of King Vikramaditya, aka Chandragupta II (380-415 CE), who had his capital at Ujjaini, the modern-day Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, India. “There he is!” He heard a scream as he Read.

Make people smile :)
That’s laughter therapy for me. Smile, if not laugh. And my laughter therapy is not only for me but for others as well. If I can make someone smile (if not laugh) for 5 minutes, I think I am inching towards the heaven (if there is any). I was born with this inherent quality and Read.

Life should be meaningful, even if it is short.
Life should be meaningful, even if it is cut short. There are umpteen examples of great men and women whose lives were cut short, but they left behind an everlasting mark on the world in their respective, but varied fields. Let’s look at some of these great people. Swami Vivekananda (India): He died at the Read.

I could do many things differently. I wish I could. Now I can.
All of us do things differently. I also used to do things differently. But, the only problem is that it made no difference in my life. Then I started taking some of the proverbs and quotes seriously. Those motivational quotes I used to laugh at. Now I take inspiration from a few (though). The quote Read.

Thinking about the past is necessary, thinking about the future is wishful thinking.
Past is factual. Future is imaginary. We retrospect from the past and learn from all that mistakes that we committed. They are your real-life examples. We just don’t do mistake; we also do right things as well. Hence, we can judge from what did right or wrong, and the consequences thereof. We can then gauge Read.

I play ‘life, life’ everyday.
Playing “life, life’ is a daily affair. There is no escape from it, and I love playing. Everyday, as I wake up, the ‘playtime’ tells me, ‘hey buddy, tighten your belt and get ready to play. It’s like any other game; you have a team, who-so-ever stays with you, you have a plan and a Read.

The biggest challenge in my life is to maintain simplicity.
I love proverbs and phrases. They help you catch the nuances of life. One of such proverbs I have heard/read somewhere that I try to adhere to in my life. The proverb is: “It’s very simple to be happy, but it’s very difficult to be simple”. A simply worded phrase, but worth a million words. Read.

Everyone who walked into my life left a mark. A positive mark.
As you grow older, you get wiser. Goes the saying. I would say, ‘as you grow older, there are more people who walk into your life and make you wiser’. Likewise, I would say, everyone who had walked into my life have made me wiser. I will not get into the debate of if I’m Read.

The colors would be a combo of red & golden yellow, and the mascot would be a Royal Bengal Tiger. It will be a football team.
If you started a sports team, what would the colors and mascot be? Photo by Jens Riesenberg on Unsplash Decades ago, the state of Bengal in particular and Bengalis all of India/World celebrated the game of football as their religion. There were two major rivals, East Bengal and Mohan Bagan. They fought fierce battles, both Read.

Not really. It has only disillusioned!
How have your political views changed over time? Political views, I think, largely change from illusionistic to disillusion. At least for an average citizen like me. Like we say here in India in Hindi, Roti, Kapda aur Makan (food, clothing & shelter) are the basic necessity of life. I’ve read a fantastic definition of patriotism. Read.
